Absolute pure genius of a design when it comes to camp cooking! Forget packing the heavy cast iron camp oven, the Bushking Camp Oven Kit has your back! This camp oven in particular holds 12.5 litres and only weighs 6 kilograms. The stainless steel baking trivet keeps your meat from burning on the base of the pot and cooks it evenly. Two features that impressed us was the stainless steel veggie roasting ring and the lid with handle. The roasting ring adds a second layer to cooking and sits perfectly in the upper flange of the camp oven, making the most of the hot air to roast your veggies! But you don't need to stop at veggies, you could use this ring for chicken wings / drumsticks, garlic prawns or even apples for a superb camp dessert! Now we all know that space and weight sometimes gets up in our grill when we are packing the caravan, but this camp oven is versatile. You can use the lid as a frying pan too or the camp oven as a saucepan! We bought the bundle which also came with a canvas carry bag and a pot stand. A warm roast most definitely warms up the bones on cooler camping nights!
Seriously, how can you not fall in love with these mini lanterns! Created by one of our favourite brands, Barebones, we're not sure if its the vintage feel or whether it brings about railway nostalgia, but we are obsessed! These Edison Mini Lanterns (Bronze) are water and rust resistant and are powered by either USB or 2 x AA batteries. When on battery power, it will last 20+ hours on the low light option or 5 hours on the high light option. The hook allows us to hang the lanterns from tree branches, awnings and swag loops and makes for an intimate setting. They are super lightweight, so easy for the warriors to carry on their night adventures and perfect to reduce light pollution as the light spreads outwards and not upwards which our nocturnal friends love! Lantern colours also include red, copper or grey; so many options to tickle your fancy.
Check out these beauties! We've recently added the Zorali Camp Chairs to our collection and we are super stoked! Our warriors have the Sunday Camp Chair in chestnut which is grubby-feet-friendly and as for us, we have the Sunday Camp Chair in mustard. The design includes a heavy-duty cotton canvas with a durable beech-wood frame. It weighs 2.7kg each and measures at 90cm height, 53cm width and 52.5cm depth. It also comes with a heavy-duty cotton canvas carry bag. You can buy one and get one 50% off with the code SUNDAY. And what's even better is that Zorali plant 10 trees for every product sold, so not only boosting our comfort and reforestation, but also local employment!
Oh my! If you're after a snuggly nights sleep, these Australian owned When the North Wind Blows sleeping bags are for you! Our warriors are coastal bush babies so when we saw this design, we knew that these would be a winner! These are the khaki sleeping bags but there are many other gorgeous colours and designs to choose from. Our warriors love anything khaki but these also match our interior design for our new caravan. There is nothing that hasn't been considered with this design. They come with a compression sack and a canvas duffle bag with a vegan leather strap making it super easy to pack or convert into a carry bag during the day. Not only are these sleeping bags reversible, but they also open up to a queen size quilt! Let's face it, bunk beds can be a pain to make so our warriors will use these and then double up when we take them along on our swag missions too! They have 300 GSM Hollow Cotton Filling which is suitable for -5°C and measure 190cm width and 200cm length. But I have left the best news to last! North Wind Blows are partnered with B1G1 (Buy 1, Give 1) foundation so for every purchase, the legends donate a meal to an orphaned koala through Wild Life Warriors at Australia Zoo. Since that we adopt koalas each year, this made our hearts sing!
Rob has always had a love affair with pizza so it was a no brainer to surprise him with a portable wood pellet pizza oven for Father's Day! He has been obsessed with the Ooni Frya 12 Wood Pellet Pizza Oven ever since! And who wouldn't be when it makes authentic wood-fired pizzas in 60 seconds! It reaches 500 degrees and is ready to cook within 15mins. It weights 10kg and you can purchase a bundle that comes with a carry bag, an aluminium peel, pizza oven gloves, pizza slicer and hardwood timber pellets. We also purchased the Ooni infrared thermometer, a wooden pizza peel to make the pizzas on and a cast iron sizzling pan to also smoke meat.
This cute little travel gem is perfect for happy hour treats by the campfire, or even for sunny picnics! We’ve have been hoping for a portable table that came without glass cut-outs or a bottle holder since we don’t drink wine. And here it is, another genius product from Summer Picnic Tables. This is Banquet Ohana Natural Timber Picnic Table! They are Australian designed and made, and fold down flat making it a sweet travel buddy
This beauty always sells out fast! This Darche Stainless Steel BBQ 450 Firepit was a Mother's Day for my lovely wife, mother of our two little explorers. You know she's a camp mum when she gets excited over a fire pit! Perfect to warm your bones or to cook your dinner, this portable and foldable fire pit makes it super easy to set up and pack away, plus it barely takes up any storage space. The unit comes with a solid base with clips to secure the body of the fire pit, as well as a food grade stainless steel grill to cook on. We have tried others and nothing beats it! Invest in this legend of a fire pit to begin with, save the hassle and wasted dollars. We paid $279 from Tentworld but you can also order one from Snowys.
YETI products were first introduced to us by one of our friends a few years ago. She is American and YETI had been around in the USA since 2006. They hadn't hit Australian stores until recent times, so we were stoked to find them at our local independent camping store! Both Rob and I have the Lowball Tumbler with Magslider Lid. It has double-wall vacuum insulation meaning that our hot drinks stay hot and our cold beverages stay cold for longer. We have had our ice last for hours, it is just a matter of refilling with the beverage again! They are sturdy and make brilliant travel buddies!
